Business Analyst

About the Business Analyst position

Fēnom Digital is looking for an experienced business analyst to bridge the gap between our business partners and our technical team. This person will be engaged with numerous SFCC clients leading them from inception to go-live. The Fēnom BA will lead stakeholder requirements gathering sessions, create functional documentation, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and help the team determine creative solutions.

Business Analyst responsibilities are:

  • Lead internal and external stakeholders through design and functional discussions, ensuring a thorough understanding of the customer’s business processes and requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on solutions based on existing gaps between system capabilities and client business needs and goals.
  • Document requirements into use cases, activity diagrams and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with core project team on new/existing SFCC implementations to ensure timely and effective delivery of requirements documentation.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate, select, recommend and implement appropriate software & system solutions that support and advance SFCC environment.
  • Update base functionality templates that reflect current version capabilities of SFCC.
  • Understand SFCC Business manager and related administrative functionality.
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging SFCC/related technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
  • Provide thought leadership in e-Commerce and serve as subject matter expert on the functional capabilities of the SFCC platform.

Business Analyst requirements are:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an e-Commerce environment.
  • Knowledge or experience with SFCC or similar e-Commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; technical writing and functional specification documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing tasks.
  • General working knowledge of key business functions such as: mapping and modeling, UX design and usability, analytics and metrics, merchandising, content management, site search optimization and digital marketing.
